Way back when I was in university the smartest guy in class wrote a math proof in a half page. We all took 4 pages double sided. We rambled. We all could think but he did it better. I would rather learn to think better than try to weed out rambling done by a machine that doesn’t “know” anything.

And with another round of prompts, it'll fix these errors. But you are so far away from the code in this process that "getting it right" is a huge pain in the ass, probably expensive, and requires dealing with layers and layers of weird "choices" made by the AI.
I think the "wait for the next model" argument boosters make is nonsense. BUT, it has gotten better. Mistakes were not typos, they were conceptual (for a platformer game NPCs weren't placed fully on the ground or had faulty collision checks).

Did some vibe coding with Claude yesterday as an experiment. It IS impressive what it churns out. But the code is a mess—so many stupid bugs that a moderately knowledgeable human wouldn’t make or would notice immediately. That’s fine for toys, but for large projects that would be catastrophic.
