After the uprising against Ra, or generally after any uprising on any planet, they burry their Stargate as a way to save the people and the planet. To rid themselves of the tyranny from false gods.

I don't see a problem to let them do the same on this planet.

Not a lot of intelligence there.

I lost a lot of relatives to this "Delta" variant, including my mother.

I now contribute her death to Trump1 and R. lies about vaccine & mask mandates - she, and the person who infected her, both refused to wear masks nor get vaxxed.

I'm now disabled from the same Delta variant (i was vaxxed).

So, she was born in space?

That's why you need a base - to have something to grab onto to un-insert.

I can speak a lot more to this; but, to sum up my original reply: [All] Immutable Linux images with an encrypted /home are vulnerable to Evil Maid with "physical" attacks, if that fits in your threat modeling.

Data center with Talos? It's only an issue if NSA / current Administration are threats.

Note, Cellebrite & GrayKey are tools sold to law enforcement to bypass such encryption on mobiles & laptops. They exploit UEFI firmware-level CVEs and zero-days. E.g. physical possession = access. No PIN nor password are secure. FDE helps, but Evil Maid attacks would be present after confiscation.

There's a Hole in the Boot The BootHole vulnerability in the GRUB2 bootloader opens up Windows and Linux devices using Secure Boot to attack. The majority of laptops, desktops, servers and workstations are affected, as well as ...

UEFI Secure Boot is only as safe as physical access. Default/blank BIOS passwords let anyone disable it or enroll rogue keys. CVEs like BootHole (CVE-2020-10713) cracked GRUB2's chain. Linux also requires Microsoft's signed shim so a stolen/revoked/MS NSA-backdoored cert breaks trust entirely.

As for the novelty of immutable images: I've converted my entire family and extended family over to Universal Blue linux images. Most run Bazzite for games, but I use Aurora-DX personally.

Sorry I don't have a question. More of relaying info in the event of raising more questions. :)

I just posted about the insecurity of UEFI/x64 and how you can't have a "Secure Boot" for immutable images. Only certain ARM and EPYC/Intel enterprise CPUs have the ability to FUSE an irrevocable certificate.

Universal Blue images (Aurora/Bazzite) are so close but have a false sense of security.

Yes. As a matter of fact, running a Windows-only game on Linux tends to perform better too! (Proton+Vulkun)

I left the Visual Studio debugger attachment long long ago. You won't miss the massively bloated software when you realize your new IDE loads in seconds, VS Code.

I've been on the tmux hype train for over a decade.

It's one of the most necessary tools for cloud development. Keep on preaching πŸ™

I just got deeper into tmux in tmux for nested local + remote tmux and the quality of life improvement just from consolidating my terminal window count was 🀌

Finally, while adding a large scrollback buffer may seem legit, please remember that when using plugins like continuum and resurrect, your buffer is stored in CLEAR-TEXT within your profile.

This is one of many items scraped by most malware these days.

The feature is being launched during a "dynamic political environment," likely referring to the Epstein administration, where civil society groups are preoccupied with other concerns.

Meta's internal memo suggests the timing is strategic, aiming to minimize backlash from privacy advocates.

I've been teaching tmux as a necessary tool for CLI organization to all Jr. devs for over a decade. A few tips:

1/Learn the weird shortcuts. You'll thank me in 2 years when you find tmux on a remote server shell. ESPECIALLY with Tmux Inception! (tmux ssh -> to another tmux).
