please mx. n-gate, wherever you are β please help us
we have never needed n-gate more than we do at this very moment
it's like they're all reading from the same script istg. you call somebody out for vibecoding and they hit back with the "all code is vibecoded now" or "everybody is using ai now" or they'll hide behind literally any miniscule involvement to talk themselves out of their own insecurity
claude code making a website: `wowowowow I LOVE <div class=" card">`
some of them exhibit melanism too
yeah i've also noticed similarities to hfsp. mlm playbook is a comparison i hadn't seen before but also fits
why do they all parrot the "left behind" line
"why your pronunciation of louisville is problematic"
They have it doing war crimes now. But yeah, very cool that you're doing more commits per week
either they'll be the ones pulling up the ladder or (at the very least) they'll be on the ladder while someone else pulls it up
i said "sure, tetraethyllead has some upsides too" to somebody in an ai convo and of course dude ignored the whole point
the gross negligence is the point
wait but i thought anthropic were the good guys
goddamnit
i forget which part of the enshittification arc involves open mockery of your users but i didn't think it was this early
you either gotta bench press a truck or seal row an entire house. pecs or upper back gotta block out the sun. it's 2026, time to get with the program.
schiphol I'd probably do 3 hours honestly, sometimes security gets back up at very inopportune times
they do have that timeslot booking thing now though
tech decisions are made based on what's popular, what's easy to hire for, and ultimately what makes developers more replaceable

yeah the body/depth this adds to dishes is insane. i have a bag of it in my spice cabinet and i use it liberally
ibm circa 1940, but of course the ai boosters/influencers/thought-leaders will find a way to explain why it's still important that their continued usage is ok actually
fuck off jeremy you parasite
yeah those goalposts keep moving.
I haven't kept up with the research but my issues are with the ethics of the tech rather than the capabilities.
some of us detest it and won't let it anywhere near our codebases
ibm circa 1940 shit
muddying the waters is the point
I've seen people say "why are you so mad about ai? it's helping with cancer research - haven't you heard about protein folding?"
my neighbourhood jackdaws do not trust me
jealous of your corvid camaraderie
musicians would never use suno, but they don't care whether a plugin was vibecoded. hell, they might even relish the opportunity to stick it to the devs that make such outrageously overpriced software! despite the fact that many of us barely break even.
musicians being uncritical of this is really just another instance of the larger issue: of course an author wouldn't use chatgpt for their novels, but midjourney for the artwork is fine. visual artists won't touch AI for their work, but they'll listen to AI music without issue.
