The INGSA Board and Community are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Prof Roseanne Diab, Vice-President of the Academy of Science of South Africa. Roseanne was instrumental in the establishment of INGSA. She was a true champion of evidence-informed policy making.

INGSA-VP, Soledad Quiroz: Canada invests 1.8% GDP in research - Latin America invests 0.5% GDP. And it is not evenly shared. So resources are severely limited.
In Canada ~15 scientists per 1000 people, in Chile, 1 scientist per 1000 ppl. And for many countries, there just isn't the data. #CSPC2025
