We have only limited data, so here is a conjecture based on what we know about US approaches to suppressing and destroying enemy air defenses from the past.
In more ways than one, 2025 has been a year of transition. As I leave Stanford, I look forward to starting 2026 on a strong foundation. More news will follow in a few weeks about my new role!
But I've not just travelled. I have also submitted a book manuscript, a book chapter, and a peer-reviewed article. And, most recently, I organized a transatlantic panel on #CYFI at @stanfordcisac.bsky.social ๐บ๐ธ as part of my fellowship.
It's time almost time to wrap up 2025, and oh boy what a year it has been! I have delivered training and spoke at conferences in Qatar ๐ถ๐ฆ, Estonia ๐ช๐ช, Brazil ๐ง๐ท, Greece ๐ฌ๐ท, and of the course the UK ๐ฌ๐ง, mostly as part of my #cyber #diplomacy role at @warstudieskcl.bsky.social.

Looks like Romania is doing something right
The fact that George Simion won significantly more votes (~3.8 million) than the first-round winner of the later annulled November election (back then, ~2.1 million votes) likely means that Romanian electorate did not accept the annulment lightly. In other words, the annulment was a boost.
France and Poland have negotiated and will sign a new bilateral treaty which includes military and defence elements.
