This is an acrylic print made on a gelplate using a cutout from one of my sketches.
My personal thoughts when creating the image were about holding in feelings or anxieties, but I imagine everyone will relate to it from their own perspective π

He has definitely influenced me as an artist since I was a child. My favorite artists have always been Picasso, Matisse, Degas, and de Kooning.

I am doing versions on canvas. I have a pile if 5 foot canvases I'm working through. It just takes me a lot longer... lol

For me, it represents feeling split between the past and the future after losing someone. But it can definitely be viewed from those perspectives as well. Maybe any of the struggles we feel pulling us in different directions.
