Disney’s James and the Giant Peach was release on this day in 1996. We made 68 peach sections for the 24 #stopmotion #animation stages at Skellington Productions in San Francisco. On a good week, we’d get about 1 minute of final footage.

For the #DrewBarrymore movie, The Big Miracle, #KernerStudios made a 1/12 #miniature Russian Ice Breaker that the #SPFX team, led by Geoff Heron, crashed into an ice ridge made of wax and foam, shot at high speed to create the #VFX. I was the MiniFX Sup. Follow and share for more #setlife, #BTS
