Mnemonic
Β
Thirty days hath September,
April, June and November.
Unless a leap year is its fate,
February hath twenty-eight.
All the rest hath three days more,
excepting January,
which hath six thousand,
one hundred and eighty-four.

How Much I Dislike the Daily MailΒ
Β
I would ratherΒ
eat Quavers that are six weeks stale,Β
blow dry the man bun of Gareth Bale,Β
listen to the songs of Jimmy Nail,Β
than read one page of the Daily Mail.Β
Β
If I was boredΒ
in a waiting room in Perivale,Β
on a twelve-hour trip on Network Rail,Β
halfway through a circumnavigational sail,Β
I would not read the Daily Mail.Β
Β
I would happily readΒ
the autobiography of Dan Quayle,Β
1001 Things You Can Do With Kale,Β
selected scripts from Emmerdale,
if it meant I didn’t have to read the Daily Mail.Β
Β
Far better toΒ
stand outside in a storm of hail,Β
scratch a blackboard with a fingernail,Β
be swallowed by a humpback whale,Β
than have to read the Daily Mail.Β
Β
If I was blind Β
and it was the only thing in Braille,Β
I still would not read the Daily Mail.Β

No, AI is not Making Engineers 10x as Productive Curing Your AI 10x Engineer Imposter Syndrome

This is the single best piece I've read on "replacing coders with AI," it fully dispells the myth from the perspective of a software engineer and does so in a calm, reasonable way.

It's never too early to go big, @cloudwaterbrew.bsky.social's Coconut & Vanilla Night Music. An 11% impy stout, that's like a dark chocolate bounty, blended with vanilla rum. It's a beauty of a decadent dessert beer. #bskybeer

Through the ringer again, though you should always have faith in Hannahs. Fantastic performance against a great team to edge it.

England will defend their European Championship title in Sunday's final.

Chloe Kelly's follow-up after her initial penalty was saved in the 119th minute proves the difference against a resolute Italy.

Standard from the jobsworth team. F1 really needs a number of protests per season rule to stop these spurious challenges.

Seven replies to the viral Apple reasoning paper – and why they fall short Also: another paper that seals the deal

There's been an interesting follow-up here from AI expect @garymarcus.bsky.social, who rebutted the "roughly seven different efforts at rebuttal" he'd seen people make against the Apple paper.

This sport throws up great quotes all the time but Lando Norris saying: "I've done that before, in Mario Kart," after watching a clip of Max Verstappen deliberately driving into George Russell in the cool down room is a clear all-timer.

One of last nights drams. I also had a beautiful Caol Ila Samaroli 2013. The Kilchoman was smokey, had some vanilla and a little pineapple and ginger. Delicious.

Though trust United to be involved in a refereeing error. Despite it being very uncertain if Villa could have held on given the chances (18v4) and being down to 10 men and still 20+mins left, we'll have weeks of coverage dominated by the what if, and how they have been robbed. #MUFC

The end of a terrible, awful season with a positive. Needed a little luck, but we totally dominated the game & should have scored much earlier. Villa were very poor but that was one of our best performances even before the red card. Let the squad clear out begin & bring on next season. #MUFC

Would love to know what was actually said. The sensational headline is 'find a new club'. If he's been challenged on his post match interview that was hardly committed, I think it is fair. If he doesn't want to be at the club, then go, regardless of potential talent or how good he thinks he is.

Totally see this and to be fair I've struggled to see how he fits into Amorims system. Goals or assists would give him a pass but he's not doing either, and he's missing some really crucial chances. If there is anyone offering 60M+, it becomes really hard to ignore that.

We need a rise in the voices of techno-realists | Rob Bowley

We need a rise in the voices of techno-realists

GenAI is the hypiest tech I’ve seen in my career – and that’s saying something.

Because of all the noise it generates, we need to hear from more grounded, pragmatic voices.

Techno realists, unite!

Just awful until Amad and Mount came on. Amad's ability to take on and beat a defender makes such a difference, and Mason had easily his best performance in a United shirt. Both have to start in the final. #MUFC

I agree. Whilst it's technically not wrong (as sharing less reduces the risk), the question is certainly badly worded for modern times.

It's totally true to have strong passwords (& especially 2FA), but social engineering is more common and effective now than password attacks. It's excessive to say never share, but it is definitely something to be aware of what you share, and who might know things that could be used against you.
