don't talk to me or my son ever again
*not often, I somehow managed to glue together the trains of thought for "not often" and "rarely".
(also this isn't meant to scold you but be like "here's a perspective I don't see mentioned often," to be 100% clear)
"I want people in my own nation, my local communities, to have access to the chance to bring their characters to life". I think that's pretty fair, and an alternate perspective on the issue that's not rarely brought up outside of their own circles.
for them actually much fairer) but also that they like being able to commission people themselves, and have people living in the same country able to purchase art that isn't put up to Western CoL prices. Sometimes it's people not being fair to themselves, but other times it's people going
for what it's worth, I once read something by an acquaintance who's an artist from the global south that's really stuck with me - he and the people he knows price commissions low because not only is the cost of living lower for them (e.g., what would be an unlivable estimate of time-to-money was

As the Second Committee collapsed, it splintered into independent bodies. Some attempted to brutally reinstitute the old order while others embraced the chaos, becoming violent bandit armies. Accounts differ on which were the greater misfortune to face.

A fair skinned, androgynous wizard with shoulder-length blond hair sits louchely upon a silver throne. He wears a white himation under a blue hooded coat; his wrists and ankles are circled with jewelry; and he bears a silver circlet on his head. From his back grow two great, rainbow-coloured wings, which spread widely as he sits. In his left hand he carries a wooden staff, branchy and treelike, atop of which sits a crystal in the shape of the moon. His right hand is raised, and above it floats an orb (also moon-shaped) atop a cloud of mist. He is pondering the orb.

The skeleton is holding a wheel on with its extended arms and has legs on the back, which have to be small because I want them to be standing straight even though the skeleton is horizontal.

Finally can announce *this* is the secret project I've been working on for the past two years or so ^^

The morning fog was burning off slowly, and the low-hanging sun was mirrored by a white rainbow against the mountains. Down by the river the drones were already active, monitoring the crops and clearing ground on the next set of fields. The sight was oddly calming after months of troubleshooting.
Completely unsurprising given that their first stretch goal at 100k (60k /after having apparently made the book and the first module/) is "have PDF copies". What were they making the book out of, handwritten scans? And making PDFs is supposed to cost 1.5x what it cost to make the whole book?
An illustrated cover for James Baldwin's book "Go Tell It On the Mountain" featuring a young Black boy representing John Grimes, surrounded by a halo of light and crowned by praying angels as he looks downward. To the left are buildings occupied by Black church and community members, and below is a drawing of the hut where his father Gabriel was raised.
A scene from James Baldwin's Go Tell It On the Mountain featuring John Grimes as he experiences hallucinatory religious visions surrounded by his family and community.

Each nation developed their own doctrines for the use of Subheads during the war. The Alliance used them for covert ops raids on moored ships. The Dominion laid in ambush and struck at opportunity targets while the Empireβs subheads went out to sea to actively hunt their prey.

A skinny mech in a half-crouched stance with a lowered long gun in its hands, couched in its shoulder. The other shoulder's armour has a big X of tape over it. It has scratched and faded paintwork, a red layer over blue (lore being it's stolen tech from the Hearth Revolutionary Forces' opponents, the TSC, painted over TSC blue with HRF red.) It has mismatched legs, one a replacement stapled on mid-thigh which is no more than a knee joint and thin piston lower leg with a paddle foot. It is wearing a visor down with three glowing lenses in a triangle pattern, with one on our left being twice as big as the right two. two fins jut off the side of the visor like ears. Out the back of the head leads a thick bundle of thumb-thick cables kept together with cable ties, that lead down into the side of its gun-shaped weapon above the grip. The gun is rifle-sized and had tape on the stock, symmetrical spikes along the barrel like a puffer fish. A jellyfish is scratched on the side. (This is a reference to its original name, Irukanji.) 6 small barrels peek out a smooth cowl, arranged in a 3x2 pattern. It's darkened towards the end. On its back is a conical generator with glowing loops of string-like wisps coming off its bright back end. Similar wisps are scattered over the Krait's entire right side. The generator has a missing side panel with visible glowing components and cables inside. It has a wide, stubby armored tail. There are glowing copies of itself just behind the main image which match the generator glows, intended as a teleportation effect. Text at bottom reads: HRF "Krait" Blink and you'll miss it "Hawkeye" Visor, Averter-Class Nexus, Reactive Warp Modification Art: Jonathan Caridia LANCER: The Mech RPG LANCER is copyryight Massif Press.
