I'm curious: as a very aromantic (and allosexual) author, my writing tends to have some sexual tension, but not much by way of actual romantic subplots. Do any other #aromanticauthors find the same thing in their writing? Do you have any recs for this kind of dynamic?

but on the whole I think Lockwood did really well at balancing the fact that the Augusts are supposed to be slightly different versions of the same person.

At moments, it can be a little difficult to discern which August is narrating, though for the larger part of the story they are quite distinct. The confusion sometimes aids the story, and at others, can be a little frustrating,

The romantic moments are balanced well within the rest of the story, although I’ll admit the fluffy moments towards the end of the book were a little much for my personal taste at times.The pacing is excellent, and I love how the stakes grow as more and more of the story unfolds.

There’s the perfect blend of hilarious comedy, steamy sexual tension, and enough science to woo my inner physicist. I’m not an avid romance reader, but the premise of this book was just irresistible to me.

It’s such a banger (pun intended) and these characters grew on me so much. I have such a love-hate relationship with Jon, and I don’t think Lockwood could really have written him any better in terms of his character growth from start to finish.

If you like high-stakes romance, doomed yaoi, mind-bending erotica, or sexy scientists, you’ll LOVE this book.
