Buy an EV. I canβt see myself going back to a petrol car again
I immediately thought of this but you beat me to posting it. So good.
And LinkedIn is even worse!
Amen. Iβve paid for a few things to remove ads, but I flat out will not pay a subscription. Annoying as there are a few decent games the kids want to play on their iPads, but Iβm not paying $15+ a month PER GAME for no ads
My handles are "flush" but open at the bottom, which IMO is the right compromise.
Payer name all line up with who you're dealing with etc?
Sure it's not a scam? This sounds like a common scam here on Gumtree and FB where someone you havent met sends a truck for a vehicle, then reverses payment they made. Or they sell something fake online, have that buyer pay you and have your car picked up before the buyer of the other thing realises
If youβre ever in New Zealand, there is a McDonalds in TaupΕ that has a DC-3 you can dine in
Iβve found once it makes a mistake or goes down a wrong path with something, it can be quite difficult to get back on track
Can they sync from iCloud and/or Google Photos?
I gave up on Immich. Too many issues getting it to auto backup photos from iPhone. And I donβt want to have to deal with keeping it running, updated and backed up else risk my photos
I do have a container running for it and havenβt had too much of an explore. Looked OK, but I want easy external access to my things but trying not to open up too much of my local network to the world.
I have Immich running. Itβs nice, the UI is slick etc but I found it slow and clunky to auto upload from iPhone. Then I gotta worry about keeping it running/updated/secured/backed up etc and i just donβt have the time to be a sysadmin. One exception is Home Assistant - Iβll make the effort for that
I considered Nextcloud, but really donβt want to run something as important as email myself. Same with photos, too much to manage to ensure it runs well and is always backed up etc. Proton seems a pretty option for mail/contacts/calendar. Self hosting is just as if not more risky security wise imo

As a parent in Australia this law makes it HARDER for me to keep my kids safe. Theyβll all move to alt services on the dark web instead, using Tor or VPNs or proxies that will be harder to keeps tabs on. A few smart techy kids will figure out how and show everyone else. The law is dangerous
Saaaame
The chart says it excludes housing/property. How is NZs per capita net worth that high?
Or a volcanic ash cloud
It only took Apple 18 YEARS, but I can finally set the snooze duration on my alarm in iOS 26
Here is Australia, if the item is over $100 in value, you currently canβt sent it to the US. I understand other mail services in other countries have similar suspension in place
We often joke that the official weather forecaster down here (BoM) just uses a random forecast generator. Itβs comical how off it often it is.
βLight rain at timesβ π€£ itβs been absolutely heaving down for the last hour
Stop referring to him as a βdisgraced financierβ. Heβs a convicted child sex offender. They arenβt seeking documents on his finance deals here.
I've been to Mac and back. Sorry, MacOS is just awful to use, especially as a prolific multitasker. MacBook battery life however, especially on the newer M chips is just unbeatable.
Ew
Nothing wakes you up in the morning quite like rolling into the petrol station on 0km
Todayβs episode is broken on supercasts. Itβs the into from an old episode and 1 minute long
That would exclude Trump himself from voting
