The Death of Left: Reclaiming Anti-Imperialism from Eurocentric Orientalism and Anti-Westernism
In the Left movement today, many people today call themselves "anti-imperialists," but they have a very poor understanding of what anti-imperialism means. "Anti-Imperialism" was a topic of interest in...
Much of todays "anti-imperialism" is nationalism in a Marxist coat.
Stalin swapped Lenins defeatism for patriotism, Mao took fascist "proletarian nation" theory wholesale
The modern left repeats it backing reactionary regimes just for opposing the West
Real anti-imperialism is class war

Solidarity with Workers in Struggle
40th Anniversary of ASF-IWA
The Anarcho-Syndicalist Federation (ASF) seeks to replace all trade, craft and industrial unions who have no greater goal than to seek the best possible wages and conditio...
Real unions aim to abolish capitalism, not just win crumbs.
The ACTU/ALP nexus turned unions into labour brokers. In 1986, ASF stood on BLF pickets, setting the template for worker-community solidarity, because the workers are the community.

Vale Uncle Lionel Fogarty: A Mununjali Giant (1957 โ 2026) ๐ค
Yugambeh Nation pauses in deep "Gijeri" (sorrow) to honour the life and legacy of a true legend of our Jagun (Country) who passed yesterday โUncle Lionel Fogarty. ๐๐ฝ
A world-renowned Mununjali poet, a fierce activist, and a warrior for our people, Uncle Lionel was "proper famous" not just for his books, but for the fire he carried in his soul. Born at Barambah (Cherbourg) and always connected to the Beaudesert region, he didn't just write poetry; he used the English language as a tool to dismantle the systems that tried to hold us down.
Uncle Lionel was a pioneer of "guerrilla poetry." He broke every rule of the coloniser's language to make sure our Murri truth was heard loud and clear. From his tireless fight for justice regarding Deaths in Custody to his international literary acclaim, he remained a man of the grassroots.๐ฑ
โ Warrior: He carried the memory of his brother Daniel Yock and all our fallen kin in every verse.
โ Poet: He showed the world that our Black words are sacred, raw, and revolutionary.
โ Legend: He travelled the globe but his heart never left the scrub and the community.
"I am the language you couldn't kill."
We walk taller today because Uncle Lionel paved the way. He showed us that being a Black man in this country means being a poet, a fighter, and a protector of culture all at once. ๐ฃ
Bawgal Wanyi (Thank you), Uncle. Your song remains in the wind, your fire lives in our hearts, and your words are our inheritance.โค๏ธโ๐ฅ
Rest in Power. Rest in Peace. โ๐พ๐๐ฝ
We mourn the passing of former ASF member Lionel Fogarty.
Comrade Lionel was instrumental in establishing the Aboriginal Embassy to the European Union in Terrassa, Spain in 2001 and acting as its first Ambassador with the Assistance of #CNT-AIT and @asf-iwa.org.au

Bangladeshโs July Revolution: Another 1979 Iran Revolution?
Karl Marx once said that โHistory repeats itself,ย first as tragedy, second as farceโ. If the Islamo-leftism within the 1979 revolution of Iran was a tragedy, the โJuly Revolutionโ Bangladesh against l...
Bangladesh's July Revolution started as students fighting an authoritarian regime but got co-opted by Islamist reactionaries.
Same story as Iran 1979.
Without horizontal organising, revolutions get hijacked by the next strongman in line.

I think the problem is that many dont actually understand or even heard of, anarchist federalism let alone practice it. We have plenty of separated autonomous groups, but few coordinating via anarchism between them to build a cohesive movement. that idea is left 'for the future' 3/3

autonomous groups together in a cohesive way. That is they do not have to be anarchist, just agree to organise via anarchist federalism between them.
This methodology historically has been able to bring together millions of people against the fascists. This started from small propaganda groups 2/3

The IWW is a syndicalist organisation not anarchist organisation like the IWA-AIT. It does not operate via anarchist federalism as an organisational method; anarchist praxis

There is WSA though they are small. The IWA-AIT of which the CNT-AIT is the Spanish section exists, what is missing is US comrades organising via anarcho syndicalist principles to form federations of autonomous groups. So many groups but very little federating which is what builds strength.

Trump's legitimacy crisis isn't setting up a civil war, it's setting up revolutionary conditions.
With centralist communism and fascism both spent forces, anarcho-syndicalism offers the path to actual social transformation.
The lessons from Spain 1936-9 are still relevant.

โSocial contractโ is a story invented to justify why people supposedly owe obedience to a given order. You keep sliding from โnorms existโ to โtherefore weโre bound by a contractโ and thatโs exactly the move being rejected.
there is NO CONTRACT. its a fiction.

There is another word for those that are extremely adamant the fiction of 'social contracts' are somehow binding because they declare it so. Let alone that they are justified based on social norms.
It is 'bootlicker'.

You do know that a theory in science is simply the best explanation of a fact? Gravity is a fact, the theory of gravity is our best explanation via scientific method to the mechanics of that fact.
And among socialigists social norms are distinct from the idea of social contract.

No you are wrong any basic search shows that.
What you descrive is just social norms (manners/customs). A 'social contract' in political philosophy is a supposed agreement that legitimises a state and creates obligations to obey it. Norms exist everywhere, they donโt prove consent to governance.

โsocial contractโ isnโt just โall the normsโ. any basic search by anyone reading this shows that.
Itโs a story that says: because you live here and follow norms, youโve consented to the existing order, so itโs legitimate.
Iโm rejecting that story, not denying that rules and habits exist.

Marx thought duties and rights exist in any society, sure.
But he didnโt think they come from a fair 'contract'. He thought theyโre shaped by class power.
Saying 'rules exist' is not the same as saying 'we all freely agreed to them, so the state is legit.'

At first I was annoyed, but now I am kind of sad that this persons view is so boxed in that they are obviously struggling even with basic concepts as they have always just assumed it fits their worldview, never really explored the concepts.

Norms = how people currently behave
Social contract = a claim that those behaviours mean people consented to the existing order
Youโre turning a description ('this is what we do') into a justification ('so we agreed to be ruled')
Anarchists reject that leap, not that habits and customs exist

Every society has norms, not every society has a โsocial contractโ. Thatโs a specific philosophical story used to justify state authority via alleged consent. Youโre just relabelling basic custom as contract to smuggle in obedience to government

Calling every shifting custom a โcontractโ dodges the point. Social contract theory is about legitimising rule over people born into a territory. Anarchists arenโt denying that norms exist, weโre denying that they add up to a binding promise to be governed.

Youโre just calling all social norms a โcontractโ. That empties the word of content. Socialโcontract theory is about justifying political authority and obedience, not basic empathy or not farting in a lift.
It's you that have no idea what you are talking about and the words you are using.

A 'social contract' either via Hobbes, locke or Rousseau's definition, is an imagined agreement used to justify a stateโs authority. youโre said to have consented, so it may rule, tax and coerce you in return for โprotectionโ and โorderโ.

If โsocial contractโ just means โpeople cooperatingโ, the term explains nothing. The real issue is rule. States use contract-talk to justify authority over people who never consented. A commune is just people organising and reโorganising their lives together, not swearing fealty.
