Even if you lie by saying you used AI, your bosses can't argue back and say "just try it man," like some dealer behind the school. By being the one person in your team that actually gets work done and claims to have done as asked by the company, you're giving actionable Intel to your higher ups.

As a word of advice, if your employer has announced your workplace has become an AI-first environment, don't tell your manager/boss you, "will never use the evil AI, because you know it sucks."

Tell them you used it a few times and it consistently gave you more work or never functioned as intended.
