Thousand of seniors in Alberta are losing income support because of the UCP's deficits but we have money to give to profitable oil companies
These companies posted billions in profits last year
They don't need my tax dollars
It's about priorities
The UCP don't care about us

For the world, anything less than regime change in the USA would be a hollow victory

I cannot stress again how much of a useful idiot you are if you are an Alberta separatist.
Just a complete fool being grifted into selling out your own best interests.
I wish more people in Vancouver were aware of their municipal politics
Why my concern at the ongoing Zhou/Sim #vanpoli issue?
I believe in accountability + transparency in a multilingual & multicultural Vancouver & any elected leader cannot attempted or be allowed to linguistically encrypt defamation or disinformation
I think most Vancouver residents would agree.
I'm in here too, a fun little project
When will Trumpβs inner circle realize that heβs just going to throw them all under the bus?
I find this kind of hair splitting to be pretty gross.
No matter how "targeted" your bombing campaign is, there will be collateral damage.
If you want your hands to be clean then you have to just not drop bombs on other countries.

I donβt know where it sits now, but when the show was first starting back in the day the VPL was not willing to play ball. Iβm not sure what the issue was.
Without going into detail, I can tell you that there was a strong possibility that VanCAF was going to permanently end in 2024 and there is now an entirely new leadership team who are trying to revive a show that nearly died.
I know it's not ideal but this is essentially year one of a new show
IMHO the Roundhouse is key to their success. Partly due to location, but also for the economics.
If VanCAF moves to the convention center the rental fees would mean exhibition tables would need to double in price, and they would have to charge admission.
Without free entry the whole thing collapses
This is a relatable post
Have a good show!
I'm going to be charitable and assume that this is out of fear of reprisal from the US more than it's about actually believing this is good to do www.cbc.ca/news/world/l...
I was recently reminded that I used to regularly attend Emerald City Comicon.
It's too bad that there is no way I'll be crossing the border again for the foreseeable future
a black and white edit that reads "the future includes trans people". around the text is a floral pattern. the image is grainy
the future is for trans people
Saw a guy are Costco today with a MAGA hat. If there is one group of people I would like to see deported from Canada it would be these folks...
Stalin helped defeat the Nazis in WWII, does that mean Stalin was a good person that you shouldn't criticize?
Asking for everyone thanking Trump for violating international law and going to war without congressional approval, but also removing two unpopular dictators
Cheers
I miss Ubuntu, I just don't want to be unable to play Spider-Man once in a while. Definitely looking into how to reduce US tech in my life
All games? Reliably?
I started on Linux but had to give up when I tried to game
This was about ten years ago
I think about this take more often than I'd like to.
The best way to make change in your world is to get involved in municipal politics.
If you live in Vancouver our municipal politics just got really wild.
If you aren't following Ken Sims scandal, you are missing out. Just an absolute clown show
"Increasingly, the landscape for large-scale events, particularly community events, has been changing."
Ken Sim and ABC found $1 million for a sign and $2 million for fireworks after pushing through a brutal austerity Budget.
Surely we can save Car Free Days!

can't say i'm a fan of intellectual property law in any of its manifestations. but it's really fucking funny capital and its state appendages are in a civil war triggered by the question what rights to afford LLM slop
Who can reply: anyone, nobody, people who can be normal about it.
trying out a new feature, lmk if it works
