It feels like a new push from the materialistic mindset to me, attempting to reduce the psychedelic experience to its neural correlates exclusively.

I can't help to feel fascinated by the research, but scared AF on the applications. It feels like Huxley's "Soma". Plus, what's the point of taking psichedelycs, without the trip?

#UnmaskingSpyware
Today I'll be participating in the European Union and Foreign Action Committee (CUEAE) of the Parliament of Catalonia, representing @SentinelSwiss.
We'll be discussing myths π¦ π and mercenary spyware π΅οΈ, among other things...
I wanna plaaaaaaay
Felicitats per la -molt necessΓ ria- iniciativa!
The era of impunity must end.
Governments can no longer shield themselves behind secrecy laws and βnational securityβ to justify abusing the immense power these technologies provide.
As @wcathcart says in the @HBODocs film Surveilled:
βUnchecked spyware is a national security risk for free societies.β
They are accused of serious crimes of unauthorized access to and disclosure of confidential computer information, unauthorized access to personal data, and the commission of these crimes by a criminal group.
Today, weβve filed a criminal complaint at the Spanish National Court against the CNI, Guardia Civil, and the manufacturers of Pegasus and Candiru.
A few days ago, WhatsApp secured a historic victory against NSO Group, setting a precedent that exposes the responsibility chain linking spyware vendors and their government clients to illegal espionage.
6/ As @ronanfarrow.bsky.social called it, mercenary spyware is a βWeapon of Mass Destruction.β Its widespread use threatens free society in ways we canβt underestimate.
We must act before itβs too late.
Come this Friday to find out how we're fighting back, details here:

5/π― Anyone can become a target, with zero accountability by governments deploying this dangerous tech. This is a global threat. An invisible, yet destructive force for free societies.
4/ βYou don't even know where that information went, and how it's being handled. Plus it's really hard to detect you've been infected.
3/ The impact?
π All your data, photos, files, cloud credentials, and contacts exfiltrated.
π¬ All your conversations, including those of encrypted apps like @signal.bsky.social, exfiltrated.
π₯Your whole life and that of your network, exposed.
2/ π΅οΈ Surveillance technology is advancing faster than our ability to defend against it. Encryption, once a fortress of protection, is now powerless against mercenary spyware. Sometimes, it doesnβt even take a clickβjust your phone number is enough to infiltrate your devices.
1/ π¨ After years of building secure digital governance tools and experiencing the devastating impact of espionage firsthand, Iβm channeling my energy into Sentinel Alliance
@sentinelalliance.bsky.social βan international initiative to fight back against state-sponsored mercenary spyware abuse.
