🧵4/4 - FUN
Playing the algo/content game is the business and the business is, generally speaking, soul sucking. Secondary channels let you loose and unshackle you from the constant pressure to perform. You can get weird, do short stuff, do long stuff, and find the fun again.
Thats the why for me 🙏
🧵3/4 - NUMBERS NUMBERS NUMBERS
The knock on from being de-prioritized in the algo is lower numbers which lowers rates you can charge and lowers opportunities available. Twitch sponsors (generally) look to your 90day numbers which can be *blitzed* by a few off topic, low number streams.
🧵2/4 - CONTENT TYPE
Algorithms rule. The algos *love* when you stick to ONE THING and ONE THING ONLY. Mixing content types whether it be topics, game genres/types, LENGTH OF CONTENT, or anything at all that isnt homogeneous, you get de-prioritized from what usually does well.

The Regent and Necrobinder characters in Slay the Spire II are really interesting.
Their mechanics are twisting my brain around. Feels very much like when the Defect first came out. Very, very good.

Messing about with pipes in #Satisfactory after inspo from reddit. Clipping pipes through features of the machine can end up kinda neat and it lets me do not boring things with pipes.

As a Soton fan, it is wild how hard the championship is. It is chaos incarnate. The biggest issue we had 3 years ago when we went down after 10+yrs in the Prem was the players thinking they were better than the league and it was rough for a while and idk that its fixed yet on the 2nd time down.

underrated part of learning on old gearboxes is how *heavy* the clutch could be. the beetle i learned on made my leg SO sore. swapped after to a jetta and the first time i hit the clutch i near put my foot through the floorboard.
from 80 wednesday to 21 thursday night here should coincide nicely with my sinuses trying to escape directly through my cheekbones.
