Delivery Optimization for RabbitMQ Streams | RabbitMQ RabbitMQ Streams are designed for high-throughput scenarios, but what happens when your ingress rate is low?

πŸš€ New in #RabbitMQ 4.2: stream delivery gets way faster for low-ingress use cases.

A smart read-ahead optimization delivers up to 10Γ— better consumption for small chunks.

"When they say queuing is slow, I’ll say: your operating system is made of queues. What it’s doing is making sure the queues are organised in the best way possible so you experience this incredibly seamless flow of activity - but it’s doing that by managing queues."

No new quorum queues features are scheduled for RabbitMQ 4.1 but there will be some nice performance improvements, a bit higher throughput, lower latency and much improved consumption performance when consuming from a long backlog.
