one of the cool parts of the lore for Marathon, the new game from Bungie now available on all platforms, is that when the AI of the world start to show "Rampancy" it first shows up as small things like anxiety. Once it hits that stage, it almost always ends in violence.

It's reached a point where it isn't measured by common sense anymore. It's just people getting bored and looking for stronger and stronger stimulation. We've hit a wall. Just got into Pokopia and, y'all, all of the music and motifs from the classic tunes are going to make me cry.
Let me also clarify that I was like 2 at the time, my dad has long been dead (5th heart attack, I believe), and I haven't spoken to my mother since 2020. The entire family was terrible people all around and it was the best decision I ever made to rid myself of everyone on both sides of my family.
My parents were gun runners for some "Mafia", but I don't know if it was the “Mexican Mafia" or "Cuban Mafia" because they were too racist to know who their employers were.
Also, my dad shot himself through the neck and survived when I was a baby while cleaning an illegal gun.

HES SO MUCH BIGGER (ROTUND) THAN I THOUGHT
This one was fun. I did the Ditto from Pokémon Race Mini in normal and shiny, then I did the Pikachu version from the same game. Then, I made a completely custom Pokopia Ditto to celebrate that game coming out tomorrow.
Today's quick pixel art is for the Sandshrew from Pokémon Race Mini. After recreating the art from the original, I did the color palette for both Kantonian and Alolan Sandshrew, as well as their shinies. I think the Alolan shiny is my fave.
With Pokopia out soon, now's a good time for a throwback to the time a group of Ditto obsessed with humans silently replaced people around a city.
No drift may have sold me.

I'm sad at how weird and interesting and funky this game clearly is, because there's like a 98% chance my brain would not be capable of playing it well and will just get frustrated and quit quickly. Maybe one day I'll finally grab it, but for now, I just live vicariously through you & the weirdness.
If I had to speculate, my guess at the order of operations here is:
- Kushner and Saudi invest in EA
- They like the prospective ROI and see more gaming companies like Riot as opportunities
- They use Trump to force Tencent out with added sinophobia
- They pick up the pieces financially
Seriously though, what's the best distro of Linux nowadays? I used to use a bunch to tinker with like 20 years ago but have not since.

This entire post is the same energy as when my wife and I discuss how we should have started being YouTubers a decade ago vs trying to start making content now. We'd have likely been way more successful had we done it back then, but no one new is getting Markiplier or Jacksepticeye money.
