A blinking LED is the "Hello World" equivalent for electronics. At @devoxx.com I'll show how the Pi4J library is now able to do this with the Foreign Function & Memory API, introduced in Java 22. Join me on Thursday at 10:40! #JavaOnRaspberryPi m.devoxx.com/events/dvbe2...
Think so. Well, at Twitter/X the Java bubble is effectively gone. Hence, I've eventually joined @bsky.app to reconnect.
Thanks for sharing, this is indeed an interesting read.
Great to see people here which I haven't seen and interacted with since those significant changes to Twitter and X.
Hi @utrechtjug.bsky.social ! Good to meet you here as well.
Never thought that would be an issue. Well, in past 4 years I've formatted lots of SQL, R, JSON and Python code but no Java. But I am getting back to Java. In past, I was quite happy with how Eclipse IDE worked after I tuned it to my liking.
Good point! Nice to meet you here as well!
Great - 5 years is a lot. Thumbs up for the possibly next 5 years!
Great idea and good to know! Great to meet you here as well.
This project is key to Java. We need a notebook to bring Java towards students, scientists,... and help them doing research/POC's in the same language that can later be used in production systems where performance/stability/scaling/security is key.
