Everyone in the #yyjbike community needs to hop on their bikes and ride up Lochside to say ‘hi’ to the new little piglets! They are adorable (making the cutest little grunting sounds). I just noticed them on my way home last night and literally slammed on my brakes to stop for a visit. 😍🚲 🐖

Love to see it! Especially those cargo bikes! 🤩

I love maintenance free things. My #ebike belt drive and internal gear hub never needs any cleaning, oiling, anything. After almost 3 years of commuting almost every day in #yyj and #saanich. No squeaky or rusty chains, or sketchy shifting. It just works. Awesome! #cargobikelife

I learned the @victoria.ca bike valet at city hall hit their all time single day record with over 370 bikes on Deuce Day Sunday. Kudos to the bike valet team for handling a huge surge. Next time a decicated bike valet on site would be needed for sure! 😀 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ #yyj

Had to go out to pick up dinner after I got home from work. Stopped at a local farm stand to grab some cherries on the way. Couldn’t wait til I got home to eat some. 🍒 🚲

Tired as usual these days, yesterday was a bike+bus day.
I took the bus for 30 min (≈19 km) then biked the last 25 min/7 km to my doctor’s office.
After work the next bus wasn’t for 26 minutes so I biked all the way home (1 hr/23 km).

Reason #2467754346 why Cargo bikes make great car replacements: you can bring something large and awkward (like an inflatable paddle board & paddle) ‘just in case’ you might use it when you meet a friend for a swim. I didn’t end up using it but was glad for the option.

It’s been a while since I had any cargo bike newbies join me for a ride but last week some friends came over on the holiday Tuesday and one of the passengers in this photo really wanted to check out the new splash park near my house.

Checked out a new cafe, Azure Pier, in Brentwood Bay on Fri. Nice to have bike parking out front. Can’t beat the patio (on a dock in the bay) & the latte was great! I’ll definitely be spending time here in the future! It’s so quiet all around there (no heavy traffic noise on the patio). #CSaanByBike
