I've been in the industry since 2016, the solution is exactly what everyone's been doing as of late, creating their own independent sites and running them ethically.
Before being acquired by Gamurs, we had similar issues at Prima Games where the previous owner was doing this exact thing with gambling site links. It's not just one company, and it's not a recent thing, this has been going on for a while with sponsored content where the sponsor is unethical.

Just scored the biggest job interview of my career 🤯 even if I don't get the job, I'm stoked to know I'm good enough to be interviewed by a multi-billion dollar company
100% agree they hoped no one would notice which is hilarious because everyone noticed almost immediately and now that people know about it there's no undoing the bad PR and loss of trust in the site as a whole 😅
Who is this slop even for? Humans looking for game reviews naturally seek out reviews written by other humans. All this is doing is running that site into the ground faster, and that's honestly one of the only things AI is good for, funneling people back towards quality human-created content.

I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?
