Can’t pick one
Best adaptation of I Am Legend.
Ordway just draws an amazing Superman.
I mean what are the odds this guy is going to lead a major motion picture?
Cham is usually one of the best utility players regardless of era for me, never my favorite but never a drag either.
John Buscema’s Lone Wolf and Cub
Big thanks to @candidgamera.bsky.social for letting me know about this…

Here’s a McFarlane Superman figure for you.
Had they just kept the three pre-Crisis Superman titles, this could have easily been DCCP 100
Found in the wild yesterday for a $1, a first printing of COIE 5 with this amazing cover that I’ve spent a longtime digesting.
I love the Kryptonite ring.
Byrne killing off Terry Long is kind of surprising given he’s probably the only other writer who seems down for the idea.
Hamilton will always be the traitor from JLU.
New Post-Crisis character
Now I have complete runs of Booster Gold volume 1, Infinity Inc, The Ray volumes 1&2, Hex, JL Task Force, and Extreme Justice.
Got first appearance of Vixen for a deal and a half!
Banger cover!
They definitely shifted Lois’ hair from black to auburn from the mini to ongoing.
This isn’t going to take me as long as i thought.
Wood was a master, and this was one of the worst reprint decisions ever made.
Dawny!!!
It may have been an editorial thing, but for an origin, skipping a lot over the first five years of him being Superman seems like a waste. If this WAS a softer reboot, I could fill in with “this is when any pre-Crisis stories I want to happen happen.”
Don’t like being older than Superman
Regardless of origin, I love Bizarro.
Byrne liked Superman III, and you can’t tell me otherwise.
I can write off Clark telling that story to anyone else besides Ma and Pa being “such an imagination.”
Not telling him until after that football game is an awkward bit of writing all around.
This is genuinely a good fake out, but also an example of Mad Scientist Lex I’ll be missing for a while.
No argument on either point! Theres a lot of great stuff going on.
CEO Lex is fine, but Mad Scientist Lex is more fun, and a blend between the two is the way to go.
