Wow, I made a huge mistake. Bought a book from Routledge because they said it came in EPUB format. Turns out what they mean is that it doesn't come in EPUB format and you have to download a proprietary ebook reader. ffs

It might be. But to be honest I think the best solution is if we can popularize pre compiled exts. No compiling is faster than any compiling π₯²
Yep they are. The individual gems are in the marker chart too. The "gets" is waiting on C exts to compile. C exts are basically to blame (but there is some other stuff we can improve, just that C exts are the bottleneck)
