I printed it and stuck self-adhesive copper tape to it. There's copper tape with conductive adhesive so you can add multiple overlapping pieces and it counts as one conductive surface.
Then I used the second part of the mold to shape the copper, so that it sticks inside the recessed traces.
Then I used sandpaper to file away at the raised ridges. The copper traces are now electrically independent of each other. Done!
But if I want, I can remove the extra copper tape.
The companion mold at the bottom. This second 3D-printed part pushes the copper tape down into the recessed trace channels so it conforms to the shape. The two parts sandwich together with alignment spikes to keep everything registered.

Adobe Illustrator on top (you can use any free tool that makes SVG vector files. I just own an old illustrator version.

Thinky Direct 2026 - Open Submissions
Last year at Thinky Games, we ran our very first Thinky Direct, sharing some amazing new trailers, reveals, and announcements with puzzle fans around the world. It was such a joy to organise that we're bringing it back for 2026!
The Thinky Direct is a 30-60 minute digital livestream event, all about showcasing amazing upcoming thinky games - games that are generally about solving puzzles and careful reasoning, rather than fast reflexes or dexterity. We loves games that make you scratch your head, ponder interesting problems, and declare "aha!" when you discover the answer. We expect Thinky Direct 2026 to happen towards the end of May.
This year, we're opening up submissions publicly so that we don't miss any great upcoming games. In particular, we're looking to feature exclusive trailers, content updates, big reveals, and exciting announcements! Please note that all content must be exclusive to this event. Previously released trailers or videos will not be accepted for inclusion in the showcase.
We partner up with the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase, a Steam sale organized by Draknek & Friends, to reach gamers on the Steam platform. If your game is accepted to the Thinky Direct and is eligible for the Cerebral Puzzle Showcase, it will be included in both.
If you think your game would be perfect for showcasing in Thinky Direct 2026, please let us know about it! Of course, to keep the event focused, spaces are extremely limited, so we're unfortunately not able to accept every game that is submitted to us. We are nonetheless incredibly grateful for any submissions we do receive, so thank you for taking the time, and I hope we can support your game in other ways if not through the Thinky Direct.
The deadline for submissions is 23:59 UTC on February 28, 2026. We will respond by March 14, 2026. The event will happen around the end of May, 2026 - specific date TBD.
