You are all too easily lead by Carney’s flashy speeches because you’re scared and want to feel like he is in charge protecting you. That man is not looking out of you and rarely do his words match his actions.

This line graph illustrates the percentage change in agency staff levels from the previous year for nine major U.S. federal scientific and health organizations between the fiscal years 2016 and 2025. The agencies tracked include the CDC, Department of Energy, EPA, FDA, NASA, NIH, NIST, NOAA, and NSF. For the majority of the timeline between 2016 and 2023, the agencies show relatively stable fluctuations, generally staying within a range of +5% to -5% change per year. However, there is a dramatic and uniform plummet starting in the 2024–25 period. Every agency depicted shows a sharp downward trajectory, with staffing losses ranging from approximately -15% to over -25%. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows the most significant decline, dropping to roughly -26%, while the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) shows the least severe but still substantial drop at approximately -15%.
This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Hey, New York. This is bad. If you're in Pat Ryan's district, click through for a link to the petition he's pushing to oppose this.

50% of Conservatives are traitors — and the other 50% enable them.
The CPC either needs to split into two separate parties, or enact serious change from within. Either way, Maple MAGA needs a new home.
Because, right now, their very existence is a threat to Canada.

Unless politicians are going to use their power to literally stop ICE from entering their cities, towns, etc I don’t want to fucking hear from them. Absolute cowards.

3 years ago the Willow series premiered, a beloved TV show by both critics and audiences.
It is now lost media.
To celebrate the 3 year anniversary of Willow, here's some cool props from the show I saw at Lucasfilm
I miss Willow!
You know something that really rots me to the core about this rampant transphobia?
Transition healthcare is so scientifically fascinating! And could (have) be(en) far more advanced in the near future!
Instead, we're left with this abandonment, along with other healthcare research.
This is really fucked up.

Murderbot continues to be one of the most relatable characters in fiction.
Well, he's gone and done it. PM Goldman Sachs has replaced the excellent Kirsten Hillman with an investment banker buddy with an ethics problem in the past that cost him a job.
Wiseman was also among the first to donate to Carney's leadership bid.

Congratulations, Suzanne Collins, you accidentally wrote the Torment Nexus.
Alberta’s United Conservative government has bumped the application fee for its citizen-led referendums from $500 to $25,000. #Alberta
Alberta UCP govt under Smith is really trying to stifle dissent against them by making it more expensive.

ProPublica is an important source of news. Management shouldn't jeopardize that with reckless LLM usage and mistreating their workers. A fair contract would keep them healthy.

"It’s true that there are physical feats that players in one league can accomplish that players in the other league simply cannot. For example, one league has players like DeWanna Bonner, who can carry and give birth to twins and return the next season to average 17.3 points and 7.2 rebounds a game, while the other league has multiple players like LeBron James, who can carry the ball."

Looks so good! I love how her scarf is a separate piece!
The Pattern for Elora is done and up. Crochet your own Elora Danan! The hooded scarf is removable and you could easily make her fully a redhead. I only have Willow and Boorman left to make patterns for. 🧶
A crochet plushie of Elora from Willow. She has blonde hair with a red streak and pale peach skin. She is wearing a deep green crossover wrap and lavender pants
A side view of the crochet Elora showing the hood on her dark green shawl and her long blonde hair
Elora is done! I will have the pattern written up this week. I might do a second run on her hair to make sure what I wrote makes sense. #crochet 🧶
This is huge! A human rights tribunal found that employers must accommodate remote work for immunocompromised employees
Remote work accommodations are something disabled people have needed for decades
Covid showed us it’s possible, but ableism & discrimination took it away
We all need this right
