On the whole though, I think there is a lot more people out there who are willing to give unknown things a chance vs always running for fanart.

Fanart definitely is fun, but also yeah people sometimes gravitate to it pretty hard sometimes so when one is working on something that's their own, it definitely becomes a sore spot. (which I mean fair, people like what they know).

Yes this has been my day today in tandem with working on art. (Although I may need to give myself a break all together here to let my arm/hand fully chill out for a bit).

Also me: Ughhhh a new option for commissions and now I have to set up the damn thing, that's a new page, editing a TOS, making sure I have all the damn things on the request form, make sure stuff makes sense... 😭

Making original things is def scary!! But honestly I feel it is way more worth it and fulfilling in the long run. Best of luck to you with your shop. 💖

I feel ya on this, while I have enjoyed making fan art (and do still carry some to cons) my eventual thought is to eliminate it completely from my booths. I do have a good chunk of original stuff as is, but I'm definitely trying to make a more set theme of characters too.

tbh it feels pretty fitting cause like you're playing a Ditto that's trying to be human yeah? I feel like a ditto trying to be human would have zero idea about how to properly use a camera of any sort. :B So y'know they probably would be taking pictures of the ground or a bush.

Two postcard prints. One is the moon & the other is the sun. 'Reflection' & 'Clarity'. 'Reflection' shows the moon with a face looking down into the water reflections, with swirling clouds all around in a very dark sky. 'Clarity' shows the sun looking directly at the viewer, with swirling clouds just below. There are spectacular colors & surreal lines coming from the sun that look a little like stained glass aesthetic. Both OGs were made with colored pencil & watercolor & gouache.
