Oh. It gets worse.

At some point the “one size fits all” cliché becomes an argument against policymaking, period. If every single instance of a social problem is irreducibly unique and special, what’s the point of trying to address it in aggregate?
I’ll probably try once this project is wrapped - I’m really curious to see what else I can do with the project folders too.
So, switched to Sonnet and the max account. These little robots have been chugging away on some (allowable) scraping tasks for me all day and are saving me infinity headache.
Thank you!

Some of us would get rejected pre-submission - so depends on how fast you can type in your terminal
That being said, it also did really great work very quickly! I just need to play some more to figure out what settings etc. might balance everything … definitely going to switch to sonnet though, ha.
Pro account - specifically to get some sense of what usage might be like - gave it a series of tasks that was also going to be very token intensive.
I wouldn’t say I was setting it up to fail, but did want to understand what usage might be like before using the max acct I have access to.
@paulgp.com wasnt kidding, using the claude code container setup he shared (which is genuinely very helpful and useful), I blew through my token limit in… 8 minutes?!
A) yes, they’re relatively specialized hardware so any move down the ladder would still require a use-case that’s similar
B) Consumer GPUs that were re-appropriated to mine crypto early in the pandemic as a comparator… likely the ai gpus will be completely unstable and thus unusable commercially.
I’ve found the transition from IDE to terminal to be pretty painless - and I was very, very hesitant to work in anything other than RStudio prior to this.

If you’re in the States, you should do this. Full stop, period. It was a game changer for me and it’s just so, so good and community- and soul-enriching.

Excited to make it through this tonight!
That's really 'reasonable' or 'ethical' or not, but I do think it is probably the case that many / most IRBs in Canada would require that.
preprint papers to demonstrate something about LLMs -> to contacting the authours of those papers, I'm fairly sure our IRB would require us to disclose, in the consent form, both how those survey responses will be stored and used as well as how the initial data was stored, used etc.
IDK if...
I think there is something to be said - whether ethical or not - for the fact that many IRBs in many countries might well agree with some part of this complaint as it relates to data storage and retention.
Agreed 100% re: the complaint about IP. However, once this goes from work done using ...
This is very good and worth a read, wherever you land.
