My first drawing of Astarion! I definitely struggled with making this piece, but through perseverance and persistence, I was able to complete it.

It's nothing crazy or special, but I do like how it turned out anyway.

Ah, this is just a regular occurrence with her, I just wish it was different. I'm just at a tipping point due to mental and physical exhaustion, if anything at this point just wondering *why* this keeps happening and how to survive it.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

It's so nice to read a book written 25 years ago featuring a truly flawed and reprehensible protagonist knowing the author never had to come online and spoon feed the story to readers incapable of not treating fiction like a book of manners

I'm going thru the story at a snail pace bc I don't have a lot of time or energy to game for now, but the Silvermoon glow up is amazing. My nostalgic ass enjoys seeing the areas being so loyal to their original maps yet so prettied up and full of pretty RP spots.

It brings me so much joy that my friends are enjoying the new Warcraft expansion, both the friends returning to the game and those who started it recently

sometimes a character saying things is the best or only source of information about something there is and that can still turn out to be false and that doesn't necessarily make the new information "retconned" or invalid

LRP: I recall being told certain MMO space was the most wholesome ever and, gonna be real with you, never in my life did I see a day in which people didn't collectively fly off the handle on that fandom.

Even in the far orbit of it, I catch whiff of the stupidest BS imaginable every now and then.

Realizing I still carry a lot of bitterness towards a certain MMO space after seeing someone getting mass harassed so bad that they had to admit themselves into a mental health facility

I genuinely think the worst thing the internet did to reading was convince people that finishing books is a competitive sport. You don't need to read 52 books a year. You just need to read. Books you like. At your own pace. And think about them for longer than a TikTok video.

Still not sure if I want to make them chibi or what... I don't plan to copy the nendo style either. I shall sketch concepts tomorrow...

I know I'll have a break pretty soon IF and only IF I can finish my entire paid workload by tomorrow at the latest, but also I know that break will be swamped by grinding away at the minutae of house work and that vicious neverending cycle of having to tend to something all of the time is dreadful.

#vent I think what drives me up the wall about working weekends, is that I know that once I'm done the grind continues in the form of house work that piled up thru the week as I slaved away.

I just don't personally think it's worth the possible ban on XIV, and I say this as a "out of bounds exploration" enjoyer, even in other mmos.

Explorer isn't up for trials or A raids yet? That kinda sucks

Still not sure if this is worth it. Most people will be itching to see normally inaccessible or cutscene only maps to put their OCs in when they're not flagged to access them by the game, and the server could pick that up.

Also can't people just... Access most maps by teleporting there? Or using the duty finder solo and in explorer mode?

This seems to me as risking an entire account for what is generally a non issue to do.
