Designing for Human Diversity: Rethinking Accessibility Accessibility isn't about accommodating β€œa few” people we think we don't encounter in our daily lives; it's about all of us.

Accessibility isn't about accommodating β€œa few” people we think we don't encounter in our daily lives; it's about all of us. Accessibility is embracing the full diversity of human experience.

Just relaunched my website on Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025. Wrote about why accessibility matters more than ever in our AI-powered future. I also share some personal experiences (including when disabilities suddenly became very real for me some years ago)

Their focus is clearly to jack up numbers and potential $$$ before their IPO. There is no other explanation to cram so many unfinished mess into one release cycle. This is at the expense of their users and decades of work on the web platform. Their exit plan is to cash up before they’re replaced.

199134 – SVG images don't support prefers-color-scheme adjustments when embedded in a page

SVGs that support prefers-color-scheme without workarounds. Also favicon SVGs that do that as well. In that areas Safari feels like IE, that we need hacks to make it partially work (using masks instead of backgrounds / using object instead of img). bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi...

I also connect audio interface and other devices to USB hub which is connected to ASD, that way switching between laptop and PC is only matter of switching the Thunderbolt cable.

Great choice! One of the best decisions I did as well, using it since April 2023. Nano texture is not as sharp as the normal one. I use it with both MBP and dual-boot PC with Hackintosh and Windows; Bootcamp software on Windows lets you use brightness and volume keys of Magic Keyboard.
