It's goddamn great software, I did the same, and it's decidedly cleaner. Plus easier to use in a pure git-based workflow too!
I find the environment in Ostranauts to be a lot more unforgiving than the env in Project Zomboid.
Zombies, you can shoot and miss. You try to shoot a pirate on a derelict with a high-energy rifle and miss? Say goodbye to your hull and your oxygen cause you just blew a hole into your ship. Love it!
