It feels like I can’t be trusted to see the value without being told explicitly why it is so. Don’t decide for me what is important to me, don’t deny me my own POV.
But it also feels like lazy writing. You’re giving me a narrative, do your best to be a storyteller. Even if it is fact reporting.
There is something about the phrase “why it matters” that just gets me riled up.
