It didn't help that giving up on organized religion helped ease an issue I had with some unsavory ideations I was having or that my last experience with being involved with Christianity was a so called Man of God seemingly trying to get me while I was mentally and emotionally vulnerable.
Like I still believe that there's a higher power out there that we can call God and I'm not against the whole idea of Jesus and stuff. I'm just not religious now cause it just feels the most right.
I wasn't ever fully in organized religion to begin with(one of the best decisions my mother has ever made for me), but I washed my hands of it entirely once I realized just how much it was hurting me mentally and emotionally to hold on to it.
