That being said, funnily enough, these might not be at all what I'll be telling in my comic 😅 maybe that's why I'm comfortable talking about it without spoiling things.

But these ideas do create a foundation for a believable world, so I enjoy discussing them.

It's also fun to think about how fast information spreads. Maybe people know about the other option through traders, collectors, or leaks from the high society. But in the end, if they aren't accessible to commoners compared to the locally produced option, why bother?

I think you're pretty spot on about the basic expectation on the society around this tech. It's made for economic and political reason; it enables people to live more comfortably, which in turn makes them loyal.

No worries, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on it! My intention is to ultimately create a comic (that's just what I do) but this kind of idle musings is what drove me to do it in the first place.
