A balloon 4 above a balloon 2

Splashes of green and white foliage on Hampstead Heath. Itβs alive! Itβs ALIVE!
Very pleased to receive authorβs copies of Offa, King of the Mercians from @yalebooks.bsky.social today. Looking superb, and an excellent publishing experience!
The Heath looking foggily picturesque these days
No, just a place of quiet despair.
One last time, autocorrect: It is not Guibert de Cogent? Okay?
I hate feeling relevant
Two books: Norman Cohn's Pursuit of the Millennium and @medievaljay.bsky.social's Armies of Heaven. We've been here before. Just not with nuclear weapons.
One of the greatest, Bruce Campbell, announcing he has cancer. Our hearts are with you Bruce, Hail to the King.
Visited the Sigmund Freud Museum in London today. While perusing Anna Freudβs library, I was delighted to see that she was a Lawrence Block fan. I read βThe Burglar in the Closetβ about the time it came out, which means that at some point Anna Freud and I were reading the same book

I think only Assassins will die in this chapter
Chapter 43 is about the Assassins. It had to happen eventually.
A brick wall with a message painted in thick white letters: DO NOT DEMOLISH THIS WALL
The graffiti artists in Hampstead are defiantly pro status quo
Every time you read the word βtechnofeudalβ you have to read something by Peggy Brown. Doesnβt matter what. Just read anything she published to compensate your brain for the violence of a stupid concept youβve been forced to assimilate with your eyes.
I was thinking more along the line of an βEvil Deadβ reboot
An ever relevant joke from @alexblechman.bsky.social h/t @adambecker.bsky.social
Marquee for Everyman Theatre reads βHeathcliffe itβs me itβs Cathy Iβve come homeβ
