Good to see them being utilised again - and they lucked out on an already on-brand interior!

3️⃣ Paris Nord 🇫🇷 to London St Pancras 🇬🇧 onboard Eurostar in Eurostar Plus.

Thanks to the HOTNAT agreement to assist with missed connections, I headed to the Eurostar booking office and was booked on the next one and the same class - free of charge. Simples. 😀

And I ended up on a nostalgic e300 😉

2️⃣ Stuttgart 🇩🇪 to Paris Est 🇫🇷 onboard the InterCity Express.

Unfortunately, it was an hour late in departing, making my tight connection in Paris now impossible.

Still, important to savour the moment helped by the Deutsche Bahn staple.. Currywurst mit pomme frites 😋 from the @diningcar.at 🍽️😌

A simple breakfast with a view is served in the compartment near Geislingen 🇩🇪 before arriving at Stuttgart Hbf 🇩🇪.

The sole passenger carriage on the Slovenian ‘Avtovlak’ is also a museum… with interesting facts about the construction of the Bohinj tunnel. Each compartment has its own topic. A great idea.

After a great night, it was time to witness the loco change and splitting of the Rijeka 🇭🇷 portion at Postojna 🇸🇮, including the new direct carriages from Warsaw 🇵🇱 before our arrival into Koper 🇸🇮

Snacks aplenty on the ‘Retro Istria’, provided in the compartment and a choice of ‘waffles’ or ‘sandwich’ for breakfast 🍳
