I wouldn't expect standard best practices in APs because I don't see any sort of central professional body or high consumer demand in TTRPGs or APs. But I could totally be missing it - I make APs but I'm still an outsider to the scene. I see it as a particularly large group of theater kids.

You call it a large space, but in both games and media, it's quite small. Where's the power center and the funders with whom to bargain? And since APs are another form of media, what kind of union would be formed when (i.e. in the US) SAG, IATSE, WGA, DGA, and PGA already exist?

Structurally, I understand it as a collection of cliques and individuals who work with each other in more of a matrix than a hierarchy. The TTRPG space is a niche of a niche of the games industry, composed mostly of hobbyists. How many people making APs can support themselves from that work?

What does unionization look like in the AP space? I think I'm not comprehending the scale/scope of the space enough to understand how collective bargaining would serve the people in it.

Art hits the limbic system first, journalism hits the frontal lobe first. The knowledge and judgment is important to have, but humans act from our nervous systems.

This system lets elites bypass our intelligence by hijacking our feelings. It's why the arts *aren't* a protected profession.

Reporting is *a* way of informing. But it's still processed and interpreted storytelling and symbolism, not pure information and pure truth. You only get that through somatic experience.
