Remembering that video You Are Into Mouse Trap Youtube and i think its a good video but if i wrote a short story like that and i started getting the response to it that it did in the comments i would start crashing out

HAPPY NEW YEAR. I TRIED TO DRAW A LITTLE GUY EVERY DAY.
Occasionally it will be about someone who has a really high skill some specific craft or whatever but that stuff is usually more about Human Soul. often when I see a comment like this the implication is like "wow it looks like being skilled doesnt matter to making great art"

Ppl say acnh was an escape during the pandemic and it was true to an extent (i mean, you can go outside in the game) but honestly I always felt like the game was so lonely and claustrophobic. you're the god of your little island, connected to nothing. There's a cavernous museum that's always empty.
As much as i like decorating little digital dollhouses i hate how empty ACNH feels because of how much exclusively focuses on it. and just how corporate the game can be at points. "increase your Island Brand Recognition" ugh.

I also have a much earlier memory of seeing specifically the scene in Trainspotting where a baby crawls on the ceiling completely without context too. I don't remember how I saw it. idk if my parents were watching it or if it was in a "10 FUCKING TRIPPY SCENES IN MOVIES" video or what
shoutouts to when I was I guess 12 or 13 years old and I didn't have any context to know what happens in twin peaks and I'm at my grandma's house while she's watching the return and completely without context seeing this scene. It scared the shit out of me youtu.be/SfGOOL6j_F8

plus it just means less to me when I ask someone to draw it in some gamified thing rather than someone just wanting to draw them on their own... like I want to feel like I earned it
like I want to use them for an actual creative project so putting them on Artfight like... idk maybe "cheapens it" sounds pretentious but it's weird to see people drawing my Guys when they don't even know what their actual Deal is and who they are
I like the concept of Artfight and I had a bit of fun the one time I participated but I'm like way too precious about my characters to be able to do it anymore.
