Swears at computers. A lot. Generally swears a lot too. Not on LinkedIn due to hackage (and LinkedIn being uncooperative dicks). Hopefully older than I look. Definitely older than I act. WhangaparΔoa Peninsula, Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa π³πΏ

If you replace "Trump" with "Supreme Leader" every time she speaks... its like watching North Korean TV.
Because he's a dictator of a banana republic.
2nd half of that sentence was unnecessary. π
I bet they have investments in private health care companies. Managed funds, kiwisaver et al.
Because it can.
As opposed to the long term pain we've had under this CoC already.

Anyone else noticed the (men in the) Trump family do this fist salute? And people claim they're not Nazis

If this forces Fonterra to drop their prices... I'll allow it.
Rod Emmerson's cartoon depicting Chris Luxon as Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show, singing "I'm just a sweet middle manager driving your living standards to Transylvania, haha" under the headline "An IMF Horror Show". Chris/Frank holds a copy of the IMF's latest figures for New Zealand.
Dude. @rodemmerson.bsky.social
So...everything then. But its ok, cause this CoC is laser focused on the cost of living so we'll be fine!

Top response that'll be lost on many.
Not arguably worse. It is worse.
As best I can tell/understand they broke international law. As best I can tell Trump even broke US laws by not involving congress.

C'mon... tell us what you said that gave you this opinion!
This feels like a "do something to stimulate the housing market" action from the government to be honest. Wouldnt want their investments stagnating now would we: www.nzherald.co.nz/business/per...
Weird that we had to nationalise it for it to make a profit (sorry operating surplus).
Can someone ask David Seymour about this please.

I dont think thats the flex you think it is.
One word: Brexit.
How would you respond to people who accuse you of being part of a corrupt, predatory cabal of elites? I didnβt choose to be born into the royal family.

Also I personally don't want it here. Two main reasons. Waste disposal (its really still not solved despite what many claim) and we have WAY too many earthquakes. We would be the next Fukushima.
Besides; we have plenty of other renewable options that dont suffer those issues. Lets maximise those!
I worked in the energy sector in the UK (many many years ago). One of the things they don't tell you is that nuclear is cheap because it *has* to be. You cant just switch it off. So its got to be cheap so their load is sold otherwise its *really* wasted money for the company.
I would *love* to know what percentage of the objectors have SkyTV.
Poll on stuff.co.nz about the LNG importing vs solar and renewable options. Results are "Import LNG" at 11%, "Get solar to the people" at 40% and "Invest in new large-scale renewable power projects" at 49%.
If the people of stuff.co.nz get it... why don't our government?
Im genuinely worried the current CoC will just let them. And tell us its good for us obvs.
