Disgraceful beyond belief.
Very much enjoyed going into the Lionβs Den today and speaking at a panel at the @connectedbydata.org conference on participative democracy and public sector AI.
My, er, somewhat contrarian thoughts along these lines are here:

More evidence we need a robust primary!
I am not an expert but this seems like something that could perform well:
- Eccentric, no doubt staging will reflect that.
- A memorable hook that the audience can sing along to
- Looks very Eurovision for reasons I canβt quite articulate.
ICYMI:
Well this was delightful! Thanks to everyone who came along!

A section of the OpenAI Symphony readme that says βtell your coding agent to build symphony in a programming language of your choiceβ with a link to a detailed spec
We have reached a moment where instead of releasing software you simply release the detailed spec for software and tell people to prompt their agent to build it themselves

Once I got past the fact that the use of the term Britons (and sometimes "Britains") made me feel a bit queasy, there is a load of interesting stuff in this Labour Digital/More in Common polling on public attitudes to tech. www.moreincommon.org.uk/blog/britons...

Haha, very kind!
Sortition, but for parties and not individuals!
Given today's @appgfairelections.bsky.social letter, it's worth noting that - as things stand - PR would work out better for every party except Reform and the SNP.
FPTP (Electoral Calculus) vs Perfect PR:
β‘οΈ Ref 355 v 189
πΉ Lab 101 v 130
π₯ LD 59 v 78
βοΈ SNP 45 v 20
π³ Con 35 v 124
π Grn 18 v 91
Oh god, what a relief to have an actual political scientist validate my point! Was a bit nervous pressing publish on this one in case someone who actually knows what they're talking about tells me why I'm wrong.

π¨ Iβm getting reports of a dangerous new viral trend spreading on social media π¨
This is tonight!
I'm not a musicals person so don't know what I'm talking about, but I think the biggest flaw was the songs just... weren't very good?

I hope it can open more than about three apps at once without closing another to save RAM like my 16 Pro does.
Yep β interesting watching the launch video too, as it really pushes the iPhone integration, almost to sell it as an accessory.
I'm not sure why I want a MacBook Neo so much when I'm typing this on a computer that is more powerful and basically just as portable.
This is cool!
(If only there was a free and accessible canonical address database to plug into it!)

If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.
