Someone on here wanted to argue with me when I said that it was problematic that Newsom was using the exact same speech patterns and mannerisms as Trump at a press conference. And he's being vaulted as a presidential candidate? Get this psychopath away from the levers of power
Currently I can't make a video, as l am sick and in pain -but this needs to be addressed. People have begun to use my videos on twitter as a way to be racist, and this is absolutely unacceptable. I am not anti-black, nor do I or would l ever excuse racism. I explained Tourettes and coprolalia in deep detail, which offended some people, but unfortunately at this point people will be offended either way. I'm seeing people think that I meant that the presenters (Michael B Jordan, Delroy Lindo, and even the director Ryan Coogler) don't deserve apologies.. they absolutely do. And l've stated this multiple times. I think the apologies should be private, not public. The whole situation was purposefully publicized by BAFTA, and that's obvious by now. They clipped out "free Palestine" but not that tic. They 100% knew it would lead to discourse. And that's wrong. My intent was not to say that black people cannot be offended, because as stated in my videos, the community is more than valid.
but we have to also remain logical. The ableism is so painful to view, and so is the racism I'm seeing. Both sides are understood. But there should be no reason why I'm seeing people say that people with Tourettes shouldn't be out in public, that we should be separated, or that we should wear muzzles like DOGS. We are ALL human. My point exactly is that we are all equal, and I hate that two communities are being pit against each other. I am also autistic, so sometimes it's hard for me to explain things properly. I don't understand social cues that wel. I was not intending to make anyone feel invalid or dismissed. I just wanted to help others understand and provide context.
will be taking a short break, as this situation has begun to take a toll on my mental health. I spoke out because my DMs were flooded with people asking me to, and I felt sick reading the ableist comments.. so many people have said that I "put my disability over being black", which I don't. I am always going to be proud of the fact that l am black. Both communities I am personally apart of are being attacked.
Also a little disclaimer: 1 put air quotes around "racism is excused" in my video, not to say that it isn't, but in this context it is not excused, tourettes is explained. It is not inherently racist. It SHOULD BE able to be explained and understood. I wanted everyone to come to a middle ground between this situation, not further divided.

I don't care if you have any kind of disability. It's still wrong to be racist and do racist things. "Oh I can't help it, I'm disabled." Ok so figure it out. None of my disabled family members can get away with racism or even any number of less severe socially disruptive behaviors.
Do non-Black people know that racism literally kill us? The stress of it is lethal.
