Not everything can be planned, and some updates will need to adapt as the campaign unfolds, but having a roadmap makes it much easier to stay consistent and keep your community excited.
Crowdfunding campaigns move quickly, and planning your updates in advance can help maintain momentum. It’s helpful to outline updates around key milestones like 25% funded, 50%, and 100%, along with a few general updates to keep backers engaged throughout the campaign.
Crowdfunding Day is tomorrow, so here’s a quick tip for anyone planning a campaign.
Which marketing metrics matter the most?
The answer depends on your goal. If you're building awareness, pay attention to reach, impressions, and traffic.
If you're focused on sales or pledges, look at conversion rate, cost per acquisition, and ROAS. Different goals require different metrics.
I’ll still be around the community and working with Catalyst in a contract capacity, but this marks the start of an exciting new chapter. You can read the full announcement here: www.catalystgamelabs...
Working with this team and community has been an incredible experience. I’ve made lifelong friends, learned so much, and had the privilege of helping connect fans with games and worlds they love.
I have some big news to share.
After three years with Catalyst Game Labs, I’m stepping away from my role to focus full-time on my own company, Rem Alternis Productions.
Finished an amazing week at GAMA Expo last week!
The week was packed with great conversations and reconnecting with so many friends across the tabletop industry. Thank you to everyone who took the time to chat, share ideas, and catch up.
Already looking forward to next year!

I didn’t start my company just because I love marketing. I started it because I had a passion project of my own called Chicago Shadows and quickly realized something: creators like me have big ideas, but don’t always have the resources or support to bring them to life the right way.
I’m excited to be hosting a panel at GAMA this year!
We’ll discuss what metrics you should track, how to interpret them, and what to adjust when they’re not meeting your goals. I’ll be joined by Monica Paprocki, Grant Mielke, Christopher Landauer, and Edward Doty.
