I have one of these. It was amazing for the first 5 minutes.
Also played Tales of the Old West with @chrisesharp.bsky.social steering the herd. We're heading off on the Western Trail - yeehaw!
Absolutely! Tons of great buildings in the city, so much to see when you look up from street level, lots of history.
Lots still to like in Liverpool... there are two "The Grapes", one on Matthew St and the other up by the bombed out church which the best one, still a great pub!
I loved the old building before they modernised it, but it really is fantastic now.
That's a shame, but try not to let it bother you.
Hope you've banned them from future events! ๐
I've migrated over and it all looks good, works the same. The process was a bit of a faff though with multiple stages of emails and verification. I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Played it yesterday on Boardgame Arena, it's a cracking little game.
Woah, he's a stunner!
Tikka says hi!
Thanks, I'll check it out!
Reminds me of the old Paddington Bear show
Had no idea this is a thing, very interesting. And good luck!
Happy birthday! That's a great pressie - I look forward to hearing tales of the TPKs that are bound to follow.
That's where I'm at, had this pair for near 4 years as prescription hadn't changed. I think they're just scuffed. Waiting until I turn 60 in a few months so I can get a free eye test...
Yep, signed up for this one...
However, I wouldn't be playing anywhere near as much without online games so I'm a big fan.
I love Foundry, it makes running games easy.
It's not as good as face-to-face though, it's too easy to be distracted as a player and tech issues can slow the game down. Also as a GM there's a temptation to over prepare e.g. each NPC/Monster has to be set up in Foundry, but it's not always needed.
I love playing online, 95%+ of my games are online.
It's great for playing with remote friends, very convenient (no travel!) and can be a lot of fun setting up and running games. It also means I'm playing with people I want to play with rather than just who is available locally.

Smoking remains the biggest cause of preventable deaths in England, accounting for more than 80,000 deaths each year. Read the article below to find out how RAIDR can support ICBs to reduce prevalence and offer cessation advice to those who need it.

"Death of Smaug" written across the front is a bit of spoiler.
That's a lovely thing to have though, wish I'd discovered The Hobbit when I was little.
It's much better now. At week 4 starting to feel more normal, just need a good night's sleep.
And don't push yourself in getting back to normal too soon, give your body time to recover. I think knee recovery is slower than hip recovery as there is more movement in the knee.
I found stairs to be ok, just take your time with them.
I'm recovering from a total hip replacement (had it 4 weeks ago today). Make sure you do the exercises the physios give you, they get you up and moving quickly. Sleep is still hard, especially after coming off the pain killers - I'm back on some painkillers to help with that.
Good to hear. Far too many Brits pronounce it in the American style.
Erech and the Paths of the Dead is the only module I ever bought for MERP, I have it knocking about somewhere. I always wanted the Bree one, can't recall now why I didn't get it (probably out of stock).
Great tune. I have Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac collection on vinyl I really should listen to, IMHO the best version of Fleetwood Mac.
They look great!
It worked fine though, there was always a good vibe to the place, had some great games there.
I have bad dreams about dream sequences...
