Okay, the good news is that I had enough to pay off the auction house and even pay for the transport. Bad news is I'm definitely still over $1,000 that I need to figure out how to make. People are welcome to throw money at me but I think I'll stop talking about this. I'm sure there's a moral here

I think 1. Bob Dylan lore/interest is kind of sucked dry 2. It's very much a "OK" when you get to the end.

Still raising money for that auction, by the way. I went from "won't make rent" to "shop for food carefully" which is good.

I mean, it's nice it's money. At some point soonish I'll be retiring from scanning/ingesting things personally and it'll just be fundraising and trying to educate/ramp up people who want to do this scanning stuff, so I can get into the ground. It being mostly money means it's one thing.

I'm at full-steam-ahead right now (except when in transit or travel) and I am just trying to do the set of materials defined as "people entrusted this with me or entrusted me to ingest it" and that's going to take at least the rest of the year. But there's so much more out there.

I've been thinking about this lately (the last year and change). At this point, it's just money. It's just funds given to the already-extant scanning apparatus and the already-extant ingestion apparatus and people can have endless stuff in the to-do/to-scan pile ingesting forever.

Why did I think this auction was worth it? Well...

OK, so, I won this stupid auction and in case people find this skeet, 1. It wasn't $5,000 ultimately, it was $3520. I had intended to spend $500 at most. But this turned out to be too good to pass up. Now I'm on the hook. I can cover it but it's going to be a bit intense.

People are stepping forward and I appreciate every one of you doing this. I'm quite a bit away from the final number but much closer than I was feeling 3 hours ago.

OK, I rarely get into this position, but I did. I archivebossed rather close to the son and won this auction. Everything in it gets digitized. That's unique and beautiful but I'm on the hook for a hurtful amount of money. Something told me this was worth it.
