It’s a collective failing, and for sure Edwards and Hughes are due a reckoning. But, as you say, the team’s consistently poor displays ultimately rest with the manager. Always been the case. Always will be. Slot simply isn’t capable of managing a club of Liverpool’s size in the bad times, IMO.

For me it was a turning point because it was proof nothing is going to change under this manager this season - for various reasons - and, increasingly I think, next too. No issues if others aren’t there - and I’ve taken longer to get here than some.

No, Slot didn’t actively make them do that. They did that on their own. But why do they think it’s ok to do that? Because, maybe, it’s become ok to do that, at the training ground and on the pitch. And who ultimately has to take responsibility for that?
If a guy keeps turning up late for work and regularly spills coffee on his keyboard, you sack the guy. If three guys keep turning up late for work and regularly spill coffee on their keyboards, you maybe think about sacking the guy who creates the environment where this has become standard behaviour

I don’t hate Arne Slot saying what he thinks - I admire his honesty … it’s refreshing - what I find frustrating is him constantly correctly diagnosing Liverpool’s problems but then doing nothing to solve them - despite being the man whose job it is to literally solve them.
