yeah it's not fun losing a life late and then chaining deaths, nor is it fun managing boss rank by not picking up specific powerups lol. it's got a few very important set powerup spawns which is nice but otherwise it does feel like you're stressing from point A to point B and then cool boss fight.
i mean it's about the same as the arcade version, just has a different screen resolution/ratio which is a bit odd. ithe 1CC seems quite a bit more difficult than this one for very different reasons though
Yeah! I really wanna play the new one. I still need to 1CC Kiki Kaikai PCE, but after that i'll probably dive in. the nice SNES flash cart isn't happening soon so P&R 2 will have to be later lol
Yeah i just can't stand that kind of stuff for whatever reason. It's always felt like (quite annoying) busy work for me. We've talked about this before though lol
Pocky & Rocky 1CC. Somewhat hard game due to how opaque the systems, enemies, and bosses feel, but very repeatable once you know what you're doing. The last boss is almost the complete opposite, once you take down the sides you should just never take damage again because the pattern is so simple
Oh i don't mind difficult ones hence my comment about getting a certain time on a track. I just don't like ones that make you play the game in a way the game doesn't really account for or want you to

Make me beat a certain time on a track? Yeah let's fucking go. Collect all collectibles? Absolutely. Get 500 headshots? No problem. Beat a level with no main weapon? Go to hell i'm not doing that lmao
Maybe i will consider trying retroachievements. I really really really really hate "fun" achievements that make you do stupid things you wouldn't otherwise do in a real game run but maybe most games won't have that
