Goodbye Los Angeles and good fucking riddance
Happy bday!
Affinity Studio (which includes its own take on InDesign) is free now! www.affinity.studio
happy good small games anniversary ☺️ very pleasing for that to line up with the last weekend of the cookie cutter jam, the praxis is strong farawaytimes.blogspot.com/2023/02/how-...
My first board game wasn't released until I was 30, and the stuff I'm really known for didn't start until I was nearly 40. I know how desperate and hopeless your twenties can feel, especially when you see your contemporaries having an easier time of it. As the OP says, that's the capitalism talking.
chibi qwarq giving a thumbs up. "are you a boy or a girl? i am a threat to the american way of life"

Happy Valentimes day! Back in 2019 I compiled a "Sylvie Collection" of all my past released games in one download. The collection is now updated to include all games up to the end of 2024, and they're packaged with a new launcher program. Enjoy your life - Sylvie

trying to play the guitar parts of the x-yze final boss music has shown me that A) it's a harder part than i expected but still achievable, and B) wow i am so rusty. i think being able to play this will be a new goal of mine on the side. specifically the 1:25 riffs

reimu at the big game
This is the way of enlightenment, yes. A sign of utter confidence, that you can slowly deconstruct the handful piece by piece without it all exploding out of your hand.
A photo of a pond of vivid milky green-blue water. A small cliff is visible with various words and symbols and numbers spray-painted on it. A pile of large granite slabs is just barely visible off to the side. Many lush green trees frame the whole scene.
A photo of a pencil sketch on grid paper. There is a big circle in the center of the page. Around the outside of the circle are trees. The inside of the circle is filled with angled pencil strokes to resemble long grass. A curving line has been cut through the scribbles with an eraser, and some of the eraser shavings are visible in the photo.
A photo of a forest and mountain skyline. It is night time, but the sky is somewhat bright thanks to a large yellow full moon visible in the photo. There are sparse clouds in the sky as well. The mountains are tall, rocky, and somewhat square in shape rather than pointed peaks. The forest skyline is in the foreground, appears to consist of pine trees, and is largely just a silhouette. There is text on screen in a fairy tale-like font. It reads: "Once – and only once – upon a time, a foreigner came to our peaceful land and disrupted our natural way of life forever. It began during one of our many festivals: The one that carried us out of Summer and into Winter, when the days were warm and the nights were cold, when those of us born of Summer began our rest, and the Winter children were conceived. A festival replete with dance and Fire and food and drink and great love." All of this is surrounded by a frame along the border. The frame shows stylized versions of a full moon, starry sky, fog and clouds, gentle breeze, weeping willow trees, rocks, a stream, and a grassy hill.
The background of this photo is black. In the upper-right area of the photo, the bottom half of a large silvery full moon is visible. Below the moon, coming up from the bottom of the photo and nearly touching the moon, is a very tall campfire flame with many sparks flying off of it. There is text on screen that reads: "...And then the Great Mistress rose, and in so standing broke the temporal spell and silenced all else beneath deafening trembles of the Earth. The Fire's raving flame illuminated Her towering body up to her breasts, leaving Her head veiled in darkness and silhouetted by the full Moon like a silver halo of the night. She spoke not a word, yet Her overwhelming influence compelled all to crane their necks and bear witness. This terrible display of power magnified Her unspeakable beauty. My body quivered, my legs surrendered, and I fell to my knees." All of this is surrounded by a frame along the border. The frame shows stylized versions of a full moon, starry sky, fog and clouds, gentle breeze, weeping willow trees, rocks, a stream, and a grassy hill. The bottom of the frame is tinted orange to match the fire, the top is tinted silver to match the moon, and the middle portions are a dark navy blue.
Showing off my VN for #screenshotsaturday...
Border art, paper sketches, and some photos are by me. Everything else is photos from unsplash/a friend. It was really fun figuring out how to build scenes this way!
