Festivities. A deadly contagion. An even deadlier knight.
Yochai Gal's new adventure looks incredible. Go and check it out..
If you're looking for a dungeon on your doorstep, Duginthroat Divided is a comprehensive and brilliantly illustrated adventure for OSE. It features over 100 keyed locations, all brought to life by a team of really talented creators. You'd be doing a disservice to yourself for not checking it out.
I just backed Duginthroat Divided! Check it out if you like things that are cool as fuck.
I painted this GM screen for Old School Essentials, catering to all your old-school gaming needs. It's available for Pre-Order over on the Exalted Funeral website (link in bio). I'm excited to see this screen listed. Acrylic on canvas. 60x18. #ose #oldschoolessentials #osr #ttrpgart #fantasyart
A map to a forgotten valley where the honey is sweet & the children are sent away with vacant eyes. Every path leads closer to the hive's embrace.
Stunning art by @danielharila.bsky.social for my Cairn folk horror adventure, The Beekeeper's Tithe.

This is such a great visceral adventure. It deserved to be in the judges top picks!

Daniel did an amazing job for my upcoming adventure for Cairn. This is the front and back cover as a wrap for the project. Check out his other fantastic work on his Bluesky
Who else is checking out Melsonia's new shop with Igloo this Saturday?
I have a background in consumer tech, and know that all printers will have their own bullshit. HP instant ink looks great on paper, but there are a lot of hidden cavates that push the price up. As many have suggested Brother Printers are known for being robust and lack any of these gimmicks
Substack is a confusing hybrid of a newsletter and social media, so I am not surprised you get lost. I use it, and content discovery outside of direct subscriptions is very hit-or-miss. I would also love a new space for these conversations, as discord, while good, is too siloed for broad discovery
I'm incredibly jealous! I'd love to see movies like that in traditional cinema format. Have you seen Kurosawa's lesser known High and Low? It's more of a crime thriller.
My favourite samurai film is Ugetsu Monogatari, but it's more supernatural in places.
Yeah you should definitely get the full wedding experience! This is a celebration. You should look and feel your best on the special day
My recommendation would be to buy an off the hanger suit that you like and just get it tailored to your fit afterwards. I know it won't be bespoke, but you'll look amazing for the big day.
Chris Bissette's Candle arrived today! Excited to try a reverse dungeon crawl with my group @loottheroom.bsky.social
Are you sure you haven't just rolled the local cursed villager?
I often wonder why that impression exists: that a creative career is either a vanity project for the rich or simply a hobby with no middle ground. Like many, I have a day job to support myself, but the time and dedication I put into my "hobby" easily equals the effort of full-time work.
Congratulations on finding a new place! That's great news how quickly you got that sorted. Must be such a relief
Ouch! That sounds incredibly painful. I hope you have a swift and easy recovery
From a pain threshold standpoint there is no such thing as a "small crack". Sorry to hear you've got hurt so bad. Hope the recovery is swift. Was it a large fall?
Damn that's way too long. I hope you are okay
Speaking of DS1 cheese. These same people would then spend ages trying to shoot the drake's tail to get the drake sword so early on, and then trivialise the entire beginning.
From an accessibility standpoint, easy modes are essential. Believing that all players have the same reaction times or capabilities is exclusionary; including options to lower the difficulty ensures more people can enjoy the game... The whole "git gud" mentality is pretty reductive.
A flippant house rule risks undermining a game's cohesion, preventing the group from experiencing the specific game the designer intended. It is a little sad, like buying a cookbook only to ignore the recipe. Afterwards though, go wild and tweak. There's reasons designers spend so long refining...
When players transition to PbtA games, do you think the main hurdle is the mechanical shift from making saves to triggering moves? Or does the difficulty go deeper, requiring a philosophical rewiring from relying on a warden's adjudication to embracing a more collaborative, group-driven narrative?
