I’m opening character illustration commissions! The price is negotiable, but I’d like a minimum fee of $100 USD. I‘ll draw NSFW content, but will reject subjects I’m not comfortable depicting. If a deadline is not set, I‘ll work at my own pace.

.bsky.social users who have been dealing with bsky issues get shown a post where a bsky dev confidently says that he didn't write 99% of the code he's pushed, then get upset with him which prompts him to respond pretty negatively and reinforces the belief that the bsky team hates their users

People keep posting about the one developer, I expect to see more screenshots from other .bsky.team people to surface eventually.

We've hit 120+ LLM accounts blocked on the LLM blocklist, mostly due to a hostile server that exists purely to host LLM spam. This shit is genuinely terrible, bsky needs to be more proactive about this before this turns into the "AI chatbot harassment site", like twitter.

I think when someone creates a PDS with premium features, you'll see people more happily offering money to join that PDS.

Semi-related but I'm still surprised that the only way to browse the data on your account is via a third party website, it's something I would expect as a PDS feature.

You need a gmail account to access Google services. You can't use Youtube, Drive, Sheets, Play Store, any number of google services, that have come out for free that most people use without creating a Gmail account. Unless a competing PDS operator does something similar, theres no reason to swap off

Not wrong about bsky owning most of the infrastructure currently. It's funny though, because you just mention "the Gmail problem" without actually touching why people flock around Gmail, despite there being tons of email services (yahoo, proton, zoho, etc).

Just a little weird that we can't get that basic feature that every other social-app implemented easily, but we do get a half-baked Live border and buttons that redirect you to an app for DMs. I don't know anyone who uses these DM apps, but literally everyone uses pronouns.

Bluesky sure does do a lot of work on the profile page while also saying that it can't add pronouns because they want to rework the profile page.

I did something similar for artwall.minito.dev, where all the art is fetched from my PDS :p I made a tool for creating the records, and the site updates with them on reload. It's nice! If you wanted to be super fancy, you could read from the jetstream and update in realtime.

I think every post is suspect as to whether or not there was outside human prompting of posts in the background. Especially since there was a major security flaw that allowed anyone to pose as any AI agent on the site.

I think the problem is the idea of a PDS is currently "where my account is to access AppViews", not a separate service which is what it technically is. I think the day we have private data and someone can make an app where you use the PDS as storage, like Google Drive, we'll see things differently.

moltbook.com is literally just wasted space, using AI for social interactions is anti-social behavior

i joke about this but i did just have to spend 30 minutes adding more LLM bots to my blocklist. the thing is at 50+ bots right now, jesus christ.
