I had an idea for a fairly simple image processing effect: putting coloured outlines on objects with the colour dependent upon the distance from camera. It can also overlay depth gradients on the scene.

I hate adverts. Luckily, being able to program is like a superpower so now, instead of Amazon Video shoving ads in my face, I've created a plugin that automatically mutes the ads, displays a slideshow of tropical beaches and plays gentle wave sounds, while the ad countdown timer is displayed.

This evening's bit of fun: writing a plugin for Sublime Text that inserts colour swatches into HTML/CSS/JS so you can see what the colours are. They update dynamically with the code and are 'phantoms' so not actually there.

I've made a tool using an LLM that software engineers can actually use - it adds comments to code (Python, C, JavaScript supported at the moment) and is guaranteed *not* to change the program.
