They will definitely shift around the distribution of who uses transit. If we see an explosion in traffic maybe we'll see big investments in bus and bus lanes to cope.

Robotaxis are WAY less energy efficient and space efficient than mass transit. What could also happen is they increase inequality, as those who can afford a robotaxis increase traffic and can work on their commute, while those that can't but have to drive deal with increased traffic.
Lots of "grandfather" rules work like this. (E.g legal non-conforming land uses)
and like... there *was* a disruption to the distribution system.. but it was fine and they where catching back up shortly after the storm passed.
how it feels taking public transit rn
For completeness, it looks like in-person early voting started in 1986, and was made universal around 1991.
My favorite section
on a separate but related note, if you ride DART, make sure you grab a free DART day pass in the GoPass app using the code VOTEMAR3. you don't even have to use it today- it can be activated any day in the next two months!
New gender binary just dropped.
Very quickly everyone decided that was dumb and we've had no-excuse early voting since the 90s
Some house reps yes. When they first started doing in-person early voting you had provided a reason (like you were disabled or were going to be out of the county on election day) just like mail in voting today /1
The secretary of states website has been returning 3 incorrect locations for Dallas GOP voters, I think that is the root of the issue.
Early voting is goat. Texas actually has A-teir early voting, of course many in the GOP are trying to make it worse (shorter, require excuses, etc). It would be S-teir if it was 7-7 for all 2 weeks.
In the county I grew up in (Brazos) none of our polling locations were in schools, they're all in churches, community centers, and various government buildings.
Itβs actually FEWER MisΓ©rables
City hall may not be standing by August
Bold of you to assume the monkey's paw won't curl. We could have a primary run off.
It takes 30 seconds to do the form letter. Worth the effort if it could make a difference
Council may vote as soon as tomorrow to abandon City Hall. Astounding they could make this decision in just a few weeks. Write them now to let them know it's a terrible idea (or write me and i'll give you a rant about why it's a terrible idea)

Oh, I'm also in the we should adopt a 13 month calendar with every month having 28 days camp.
I'll save everyone the click, it's just this chart:
Yes everyone should standardize on one of the timezones that no one lives in so we all have to think about it.
Look you can disagree with Robert Nichols (and I do on plenty things) but he is a good legislator. I never saw anything about him believing the litterbox things, but there are plenty of young first term state reps that did. (I'm looking at you representative gerdes). Old legislators can be good.
Why would you try to have bunnies on a bus when instead you could just convert the whole bus into a bunny?
Complete Dallas Transit System victory here.
Specifically SEPTA being mandated under title VI to run service when they didn't have the money too.
It was a COVIDism
Quite rare to see a chart that says quite so overtly that no one involved has the slightest clue whatβs happening here
And still extremely relevant (time is a flat circle and all that)
